Luján Playa El Carrizal y DAM 74 son dos parques de agua, uno de gestión municipal a cargo de Luján de Cuyo y el otro de un desarrollo privado, que son sinónimo de verano y diversión muy cercano a Mendoza.
Al lugar se arriba con indicaciones que te dejamos en ésta publicación, ya que no hay cartelería que te oriente en la zona, salvo algunos carteles antes de llegar al pueblo. La razón por la que no hay carteles es por robos, triste pero cierto.
Al llegar por ruta provincial 16 al pejerrey gigante, símbolo de referencia del pueblo, hay que tomar la ruta 61. Al pasar el mirador, se dobla hacia el este y ahí es momento de ir atentos (ya que no hay cartelería), y doblar hacia el sur por una calle de ripio.
El camino es zigzageante y hay que tomar la vía de la derecha. En total son 8 kilómetros desde la ruta. Como consejo, tomar como referencia una arboleda hacia el fondo; el lugar de ingreso a El Carrizal Luján Playa.
Luján Playa El Carrizal está abierto de 9 a 21 horas, cuenta con tres sectores de piletas con sobrillas y una fabulosa vista al embalse. Hay baños en excelentes condiciones, churrasqueras y food trucks para adquirir provisiones. Hay seguridad y guardavidas pertenecientes al cuerpo de Guardavidas de Luján de Cuyo, en su mayoría egresados del IEF.
El estacionamiento es amplio y se cobra $300 por auto y $150 por moto durante todo el día.
El valor de las entradas es de $500 los adultos y $250 los menores de 5 a 12 años, mientras que no abonan los infantes de 0 a 5. Se consiguen en Entrada Web. El ingreso es hasta las 18h.
Parque de agua DAM 74

Junto al lago existen 2 localidades El Carrizal en la margen oeste y la Villa San Isidro en la margen Este.
Su reservorio mide cerca de 15 × 5 km, y el nivel máximo de agua está a 785,5 msnm, cubriendo 31,47 km². Su volumen máximo es de 327 millones de m³.
El embalse se usa para regular el flujo del río Tunuyán, que tiene fuentes glaciales de los Andes, y para riego de una región muy árida. El espejo de agua es un atractivo turístico, en donde se llevan a cabo pesca, windsurf, navegación a vela, etc. En sus orillas se realizan campings.
