Desde el Departamento General de Irrigación se están realizando maniobras para mantener el nivel del embalse Potrerillos. Hay un importante aumento de caudal en el Río Mendoza. Alertan por posibles cortes de suministro de agua.
Irrigación comenzó con las maniobras el pasado 25 de enero para mantener el nivel de embalse de la presa para garantizar su correcto manejo. Estas acciones, sumadas al deshielo, generan un mayor arrastre del agua que lleva consigo sedimentación. Ante los posibles cortes de agua, AYSAM brinda una serie de recomendaciones.
Esto conlleva a que las plantas potabilizadoras tengan que hacer cortes temporales para poder operarlas, como los que están ocurriendo en Maipú, Luján y Godoy Cruz.
Este escenario podría llegar a durar varios días, hasta que los aportes del río disminuyan hasta un valor de 80 m3/s.
Ante esto, se solicita a la población no instalarse en las riberas del río y seguir las recomendaciones de Aguas Mendocinas ante los posibles cortes en el servicio público.
“Debido a las condiciones climáticas, ola de calor y precipitaciones níveas del último invierno, se está generando una mayor afluencia de agua a nuestras presas. Ante esto, la seguridad nos obliga a realizar maniobras para mantener el nivel del embalse Potrerillos para resguardar la seguridad de los mendocinos”, aclaró Jimena Latorre, ministra de Energía y Ambiente.
Recomendaciones de AYSAM
Mantener una reserva de agua potable embotellada:
Dos litros por persona.
Cuidar permanentemente la reserva de agua en el tanque domiciliario.
Hacer uso sumamente responsable y solidaria del agua potable.
Regular la intensidad el caudal de agua en las canillas.
Evitar el uso de lavarropas automáticos, lavavajillas y el riego de jardines.
Recordar que el lavado de veredas y vehículos con manguera o el uso de hidrolavadora, está prohibido las 24 horas de los 365 días.
Controlar goteras en canillas y pérdidas en inodoros.
