ProMendoza, Wines of Argentina (WofA), institución responsable de la promoción del Vino Argentino a nivel global, y la Embajada argentina en Polonia organizaron un evento en Varsovia destinado a representantes del trade de ese mercado. Tuvo lugar el pasado miércoles 15 de marzo en el Museo Polin.
Esta iniciativa conjunta se orientó a seguir elevando la percepción positiva y profundizar el conocimiento de Argentina como país vitivinícola en uno de los destinos de mayor crecimiento para el vino en Europa y con gran potencial para el producto nacional.
La acción estuvo enmarcada en la campaña de comunicación de WofA Argentina Unsurpassed, que busca reflejar la diversidad argentina, poner en valor la innovación y la sostenibilidad como pilares de la industria y destacar el prestigio alcanzado por la calidad de nuestros vinos.
La actividad involucró dos instancias claramente diferenciadas: un seminario con degustación, dictado por Phil Crozier, Brand Ambassador de WofA, con la participación de 35 importadores, distribuidores y compradores de vinos, en el que se presentaron ocho etiquetas, incluyendo malbecs, blends tintos y blancos, ejemplares de criollas y naranjos, con representatividad de proyectos de pequeña y mediana escala.
Por otro lado, un walk around tasting, donde se exhibieron y degustaron más de 100 skus de 18 bodegas, entre ellas A16, Achával Ferrer, Alpamanta Estate, Altar Uco, Andes Growers, Belasco de Baquedano, Bodega Araujo, Bodega y Viñedos Carelli, Bodegas Salentein, Casa de Uco, Chañarmuyo, Desquiciado Wines, Familia Millán, Finca Buenaventura, Finca Feliz, Inculto, Lagarde y Tierra Fértil. Participaron además representantes de algunas de estas bodegas, aprovechando su viaje a Europa con motivo de su futura presencia en la feria ProWein Düsseldorf.
“Las acciones educativas con el trade europeo constituyen un foco de actividad en el que venimos trabajando de manera sistemática en el último tiempo. Es una apuesta fundamental de WofA para mantener al trade informado acerca de la realidad vitivinícola de nuestro país y de las novedades y tendencias de nuestra industria. Tenemos que aprovechar el gran potencial que representa Polonia, donde la categoría argentina tiene muchas oportunidades de crecimiento. Y que podamos sumar esfuerzos y abordar estas iniciativas en conjunto con otras organizaciones habla de un espíritu compartido que hay que potenciar”, expresó Alejandro Vigil, presidente de Wines of Argentina.
Por su parte, ProMendoza había realizado, en noviembre de 2022, una misión exploratoria avanzada a Polonia. En esa oportunidad, el equipo técnico organizó –de manera conjunta con la Embajada argentina– un tasting para restaurantes con vinos de Mendoza, desarrollando una alianza con una empresa importadora de Varsovia que dio inicio a una estrategia para el vino mendocino en ese país.
El gerente de ProMendoza, Mario Lázzaro, destacó que “en la misión exploratoria, realizada en noviembre pasado, identificamos a Polonia como un mercado en crecimiento, que ha incorporado el vino como una bebida habitual. En el corto plazo –una vez que culmine el conflicto bélico–, prevemos que ese mercado se verá favorecido por inversiones occidentales con intención de acercar provisiones a los habitantes de la región. Es por ello que vemos como fundamental formar actores que puedan explayarse sobre las bondades de nuestros vinos para que se conviertan en puentes, en el desarrollo de los negocios con los países ubicados al oriente de Polonia y los países nórdicos”.
