Tras una intensa actividad que incluyó reuniones con el presidente Herzog y el primer ministro Netanyahu, el Presidente Javier Milei se reunirá con Francisco. Este domingo presenciará en el Vaticano la canonización de “Mama Antula”. Previamente visitó un kibutz y el Muro de los Lamentos.
El lunes, a las 9 de la mañana de Roma (5 de Argentina), Milei se reunirá con Francisco.
El pontífice recibirá al mandatario para una audiencia privada luego de la que también saludará a la delegación que integran además la secretaria General de la Presidencia, Karina Milei, y la canciller Diana Mondino, quienes estuvieron en Israel, primer destino de la gira presidencial.
El encuentro será en la biblioteca privada del segundo piso del Palacio Apostólico del Vaticano y, tras ver a Francisco, Milei mantendrá una reunión con el secretario de Estado de la Santa Sede, el cardenal italiano Pietro Parolin.
Tras la etapa en el Vaticano, el Presidente visitará a su par italiano Sergio Mattarella y luego se reunirá con la premier Meloni, antes de regresar el lunes por la noche a Buenos Aires en un vuelo de línea.
En Roma, el mandatario se alojará hasta el lunes en la residencia de la embajada ante Italia, frente a la Basílica papal de Santa María la Mayor.
El mismo lunes, a las 18 de Roma (14 de Argentina), Mondino se reunirá con el vicepremier y canciller italiano Antonio Tajani en la sede del ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y Cooperación Internacional, informó la cancillería italiana.
Milei y su visita a Israel
«Verdaderamente esto no puede quedar impune. Hay que tomar muy en serio lo que están haciendo los terroristas y combatirlo. No se puede ser indiferente porque esta es una nueva versión del nazismo y esto no puede permitirse», dijo Milei en declaraciones a la prensa en el lugar, ubicado al sur del Estado de Israel, acompañado por el presidente Isaac Herzog.
En ese poblado -ubicado a 1,8 kilómetros de Gaza-, Milei y Herzog escucharon a las víctimas del ataque, muchas de las cuales son argentinas-israelíes, y les brindó su apoyo.
Por la tarde fue al Muro de los Lamentos, donde participó de una fiesta judía, y a la Iglesia del Santo Sepulcro.
