El granate recibió en casa al León del este. Los del bajo de muy buen partido volvieron a sumar tres puntos y vuelve a ilusionar en la competencia.
Por la fecha N°16 de la Liga Mendocina, el sábado 11 de septiembre, Luján Sport Club tuvo un primer tiempo parejo en el cual ambos equipos se prestaron el balón, tanto los del bajo como San Martín tuvieron sus chances y generaron peligro en el área rival. El grana puso más y marcó un gol, llevándose tres puntos.
Casi al final del primer tiempo, a los 42′, llegaba el grito de gol granate, tras un fuerte remate de Kevin García que golpeaba en travesaño, el balón quedaba a los pies de Muñoz que facturaba el 1-0 para Luján Sport Club.
El chacarero no comenzó un buen segundo tiempo y el granate aprovechó para controlar el encuentro. Los del bajo tomaban el protagonismo de la jornada y consiguió varias llegadas de peligro al área del este. Los últimos minutos el león pareció despertar, tuvo buenas ráfagas de fútbol, pero que en ningún momento parecieron afectar a los del bajo que supieron repeler cada ataque.
De esta manera, el granate volvió a sumar de tres y muestra una notable mejoría al rendimiento que había presentado en fechas anteriores.
