El próximo martes 2 de abril se celebra el Día Mundial de la Persona con Autismo, de acuerdo con la Eesolución 62/139, aprobada el 18 de diciembre de 2007, emitida por la asamblea general de las Naciones Unidas. Por este motivo, la Dirección General de Escuelas (DGE) dispuso que en el transcurso de la semana se llevarán a cabo jornadas en las que se tratará el tema en todos los niveles y modalidades a través de un material didáctico trabajado especialmente para la ocasión.
La directora de Educación Especial de la provincia, Susana Yelachich, en relación con esta jornada se refirió a la importancia de las salas de atención temprana: “En las escuelas especiales, nosotros hemos abierto, desde 2016, 30 salas de atención temprana, justamente pensando que hay padres que no tienen un diagnóstico por no tener obra social, o por no poder pagar los tratamientos que son tan importantes para los chicos. Para eso están las salas de atención temprana, para que puedan concurrir absolutamente todos los padres que lo necesiten y obtener su diagnóstico. Es gratis y se puede asistir tanto en turno mañana como en turno tarde”.
Elisa, mamá de Amparo, una nena diagnosticada con el Trastorno de Espectro Autista (TEA), manifestó: “Para mí, que Amparo tenga su diagnóstico es muy favorable, porque eso ayuda a comprenderla, a entender cómo es ella, cómo funciona en su entorno y desde ahí es una puerta para sus avances, para proporcionarle lo que ella necesita. Amparo está integrada a una escuela común, en sala de 5, y está muy bien. Le gusta estar, socializa y comparte con sus compañeros. Y nosotras, como madres, tratamos de brindar los apoyos que sean necesarios. Tratamos de concientizar para que los papás conozcan del tema, porque muchas veces los que estigmatizan son los otros papás, el niño no, el niño se adapta”.
