Si bien se trató de una visita de control imprevista, Arnosti señaló que la Dirección de Hidráulica hace este tipo de inspecciones de manera periódica, y que “el plan de mantenimiento de las instalaciones de la presa es diario”, como para tener información permanente del estado edilicio de Potrerillos.
También se realizan frecuentemente otras inspecciones para evaluar el estado de otros sectores del dique, que pueden ser afectados por las presiones internas que ejerce habitualmente el agua en el embalse.
De la inspección también participaron personal técnico de Hidráulica y el ingeniero Pablo Rodríguez, quienes acompañaron a los funcionarios, y personal de la empresa Cemppsa, que es la encargada de administrar el funcionamiento de la represa.
Entre otros espacios del dique, la recorrida incluyó la visita al descargador de fondo, a las galerías de infiltración y al pozo de compuertas. Según Arnosti, la inspección “resultó muy positiva, dado que la presa Potrerillos está funcionando muy bien”, dentro de los parámetros técnicos adecuados.
Además de la presencia en el dique, los funcionarios y el personal técnico se dirigieron a la Central Hidroeléctrica de Cacheuta, con el objetivo también de chequear el funcionamiento actual de la misma.
