Con motivo de celebrarse el Día Mundial del Síndrome de Down, el Ministerio de Salud Desarrollo Social y Deportes realizó un encuentro en el Hospital Lagomaggiore. El objetivo fue compartir experiencias con padres e hijos que realizan el seguimiento en el hospital y a su vez, visibilizar los derechos de los niños y niñas que cuentan con esta condición.

La invitación se hizo extensiva a una niña que ha formado parte de numerosas fiestas de la Vendimia, que bailó y jugó con los chicos que están en seguimiento en el hospital. También participó un chico que integra el equipo de rugby Los Cuyis, que aprovechó y contó sus experiencias a los presentes”.
Además, Rinaldi recalcó que “lo importante es que ellos tienen que ser incluidos en las actividades cotidianas ya que ellos también aportan mucho a la sociedad, por ello hay que saberlos escuchar, ya que su palabra tiene valor y tenemos que respetarlos”.
Asimismo, en el acto se aprovechó para presentar un nuevo anexo a la libreta de salud de los niños y niñas. De esta manera, se da cumplimiento a la Ley 9374 de Creación de la Hoja Anexa de Salud Individual para Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes con Enfermedades Genéticas.
“Se va a anexar una hoja para quienes tengan Síndrome de Down, que contiene los carriles de crecimiento específicos para esta enfermedad, donde se van a poder percentilar los chicos en su curva de crecimiento para poder detectar tempranamente alguna alteración en el crecimiento. Se van a entregar en las maternidades junto a un formulario para que la atención de los chicos con Síndrome de Down sea igual en todos los rincones de la provincia y donde se recordará a los pediatras cuáles son los estudios que deben realizarse en las distintas edades”, subrayó la responsable de Maternidad.
Desde el Hospital Lagomaggiore indicaron que van a estar realizando actividades con pediatras, kinesiólogos, fonoaudiólogas y van a tramitar el Certificado Único de Discapacidad.
